On February 9, it came to light that Zhejiang Zeekr Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., acting on behalf of Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co., Ltd., submitted a recall proposal to the State Administration for Market Regulation. This move adhered to pertinent regulations, notably the 'Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products,' and was assigned the recall number S2026M0023V. The recall is set to commence on March 6, 2026, and encompasses certain Zeekr 001 WE edition vehicles manufactured between July 8, 2021, and March 18, 2024, totaling 38,277 units. The root cause of the recall lies in manufacturing inconsistencies in the high-voltage power battery components of these vehicles. Over extended periods of use, the internal resistance of the power battery may rise abnormally, resulting in diminished performance. In severe scenarios, this could potentially induce thermal runaway in the power battery, thereby presenting a safety risk.
