On February 9, the Xiaomi Legal Department issued a statement detailing the progress of specialized support for car owners affected by cyberattacks. As of that date, 2,189 individuals had come forward with evidence, aiding 51 car owners in successfully initiating legal proceedings in court. Additionally, there have been several recent occurrences where Xiaomi car owners' vehicles were intentionally vandalized in public areas. The Xiaomi Legal Department swiftly responded, deploying legal professionals to offer support and collaborate with public security agencies in their investigations. Presently, the individuals responsible for the first two incidents have been detained, penalized with fines, and have compensated the car owners for their damages. In a separate case, through negotiation and resolution, the car owners have been fully reimbursed for their losses.
