New energy vehicles experience a notable surge in power consumption during high-speed driving, which subsequently diminishes their driving range. This issue is further exacerbated by the frigid temperatures of winter, potentially leading to vehicle breakdowns. On February 7th, Mr. Zhang, the owner of an Aion electric vehicle boasting a rated range of 601 kilometers, encountered a perplexing situation. While cruising on the highway with a battery level at 27%, a level that should have theoretically provided him with around 100 kilometers of remaining range according to calculations, his vehicle's battery unexpectedly plummeted to zero after covering just slightly over 10 kilometers. This abrupt power loss left him stranded, necessitating the assistance of a tow truck for rescue.
