On January 8, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce announced that, in line with directives from national ministries and Chongqing's own policy rollouts, applications are now open for the remaining portion of the 2025 vehicle replacement and renewal subsidies, which amounts to 59.6 million yuan. These subsidies will be allocated following the principles of "total amount control, first-come-first-served, and cessation upon full allocation." To streamline the application process for consumers and ensure smooth system operation, the authorities have opted to introduce new quotas in stages. The official application window will open from 11:00 to 24:00 on January 10, 2026. However, the process will conclude earlier if the entire 59.6 million yuan subsidy quota is exhausted before the designated end time.
