On January 7th, preliminary statistics released by the Passenger Car Market Information Joint Conference Branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association revealed that, from December 1st to 31st, the retail sales volume of passenger vehicles across the country stood at 2.296 million units. This represents a 13% decrease compared to the same period last year, while showing a 3% increase from the previous month. The cumulative retail sales volume since the beginning of the year has reached 23.779 million units, reflecting a 4% year-on-year growth.
During the same timeframe, the wholesale volume of passenger vehicles by manufacturers nationwide was 2.759 million units, experiencing a 10% year-on-year decline and an 8% month-on-month decrease. The cumulative wholesale volume since the start of the year amounted to 29.524 million units, marking a 9% year-on-year increase.
