On January 7th, news emerged that on January 6th, Luobo Kuaipao, a subsidiary under Baidu, successfully obtained a fully autonomous driving test license from Dubai's Road and Transport Authority (RTA). This milestone makes Luobo Kuaipao the first - and, at present, the sole - platform authorized to conduct fully autonomous vehicle tests within Dubai.
This achievement is of paramount importance as it lays down the essential access conditions for Luobo Kuaipao to roll out fully autonomous commercial operations in the first quarter of 2026. As per the company's strategic plan, the size of its fully autonomous driving fleet in Dubai is projected to surpass 1,000 vehicles.
Coinciding with this significant event, on the same day, Luobo Kuaipao's first-ever integrated autonomous driving operation base, built overseas, was officially inaugurated in Dubai.
