SAIC General Motors’ MG brand has rolled out an Over-the-Air (OTA) update for its compact sedan, the MG4, introducing 10 new features and refining 6 existing ones. Among the highlights, the new seamless navigation transition enables the vehicle’s infotainment system to seamlessly continue routes from a smartphone. The Handset-Vehicle Voice Integration 3.0 empowers users to control mobile apps via voice commands through the car’s infotainment system. Additionally, the auto-parking-after-exit feature activates once the driver leaves the vehicle, automatically capturing photos to document the parking location. A personalized exterior voice feature has also been introduced.

In terms of driving safety, the MG4 now boasts enhanced risk mitigation capabilities for complex driving conditions and parking scenarios. Innovations include AI-powered intelligent blind spot compensation, peripheral vision enhancement, and a sentry mode for added security. The infotainment system has also undergone a revamp, featuring emotional expressions with the launch of the MOLI-style theme. Furthermore, various foundational experiences have been optimized, including the addition of a familiar route mode for navigation, improved 540° panoramic view display effects, and the introduction of a safety escort mode.
