On January 6, as disclosed by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Honda initiated a recall of approximately 1,253 units of 2024-2026 CBR600RR motorcycles. The recall was prompted by a manufacturing defect in the cylinder head, which could potentially result in connecting rod bearing failure. Such a failure might subsequently cause the rear wheel to lock up or lead to oil leakage onto the rear tire, thereby posing a significant safety risk.
