Tesla AI has officially declared that, as of the end of 2025, the total global driving distance covered by Tesla's Intelligent Assisted Driving System has surpassed 11 billion kilometers. When compared to the average rate of road traffic accidents in the United States, vehicles equipped with this system experience a markedly lower likelihood of various accident types. Specifically, the occurrence rate of both major and minor collision accidents has plummeted to one-eighth, while the rate of non-highway collision accidents has decreased to one-sixth.

The system's core components are Autopilot and FSD, with Autopilot serving as the foundational standard feature and FSD offering advanced capabilities. By October 2025, the system's cumulative mileage had already exceeded 10 billion kilometers. It is projected that this system could potentially save over 32,000 lives and avert 1.9 million accident-related injuries each year, a visionary goal initially forecasted by Musk in 2016.
