The China Auto Data Research Institute has unveiled the top 60 sales rankings for the high-end vehicle market (vehicles with a price tag exceeding RMB 400,000) for the period from January to November 2025. While joint-venture fuel-powered vehicles continue to hold sway, independent new energy brands are making rapid inroads. Traditional luxury joint-venture marques such as BBA (BMW, Benz, and Audi) still lead the pack in the rankings, yet their sales have witnessed a general downturn. Take the Audi A6L, for instance; despite claiming the top spot, it registered a 3.8% year-on-year decrease, with some of its key models seeing drops surpassing 8%. Some fuel-powered models, including the Toyota Sienna and Prado, did experience sales growth; however, their overall market share remains under pressure. Independent high-end brands have truly shone in the new energy arena, with the AITO M8 taking the second position. Models such as the VOYAH Dreamer, NIO ES8, and Xiangjie S9 have demonstrated substantial year-on-year growth. Moreover, new energy models from brands like Zeekr, Li Auto, and Dengza have also managed to secure over a dozen positions on the list.
