Significant personnel shifts have taken place within Geely's intelligent driving sector. Yuan Pingyi, the esteemed chief scientist at Qianli Intelligent Driving, is on the verge of leaving his post. Meanwhile, Gu Dao, who previously headed the data development department, has already bid farewell to the company. Qianli Intelligent Driving, a collaborative venture backed by Geely, Megvii, and Qianli Technology, operates across three key domains: intelligent driving systems, intelligent cockpits, and the innovative Robotaxi service. The company is jointly steered by CEO Wang Jun and Co-CEO Chen Qi, under whose leadership, 12 specialized technical departments function, all reporting to Chen Qi.

According to some staff members, the initial phase of integration work has been successfully wrapped up, and the system is now poised for an OTA (Over-the-Air) version upgrade. This upgrade is set to encompass a range of popular Geely vehicle models. Nevertheless, employees from Zeekr, another entity within the Geely ecosystem, assert that the integration process is still underway. In the past, teams like Zeekr's intelligent driving division were absorbed into Qianli Intelligent Driving, adopting a "dual CEO" governance model. A matrix management framework was instituted in September, and at present, the Zeekr intelligent driving team appears to have a competitive edge in the latest round of organizational adjustments.

Earlier this year, in March, Geely accelerated the widespread adoption of intelligent driving technologies by consolidating its auxiliary driving solutions under the unified "Qianli Haohan" system. Qianli Intelligent Driving remains steadfast in its objectives, with plans to unveil an end-to-end intelligent driving model by the year's end. This cutting-edge model will be powered by NVIDIA's state-of-the-art Thor U chip, marking a significant leap forward in the realm of autonomous driving.
