On December 16, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a notice inviting comments from all stakeholders on seven draft compulsory national standards. Among these are the 'Safety Technical Specifications for Vehicle Door Handles' and the corresponding foreign-language draft of the compulsory national standard titled 'Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicles.' Earlier, adhering to the mandatory national standard development and revision plan laid out by the National Standardization Administration, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology had coordinated and finalized the development of these standards along with their foreign-language counterparts. To ensure a comprehensive review and gather diverse perspectives, the draft standards pending approval, along with explanatory notes on their preparation, are now open for public comment.
