Hongmeng Smart Travel, working in conjunction with pertinent government departments, has commenced internal trials for L3 conditional autonomous driving in Shenzhen. The primary objective of this trial is to assess the safety and readiness of the L3 autonomous driving system by subjecting it to real-world driving conditions and collecting user data. The insights gained from this trial will serve as valuable references for the national rollout of L3 autonomous driving policies. This pilot initiative is being advanced through the collaborative efforts of multiple departments. During the trials, Huawei employees will be at the wheel, driving their personally owned 2025 AITO M9 and Zunjie S800 vehicles. The trial will encompass a 1,000-kilometer stretch of highway in Shenzhen, with an impressive total of over 20,000 kilometers of actual road testing already accomplished.
