Huatai Securities has reported that all-solid-state batteries, which entirely substitute liquid electrolytes with solid-state alternatives, present revolutionary benefits in both safety and energy density. Presently, the industrialization emphasis has transitioned from materials research to production engineering, with equipment emerging as the pivotal element in determining whether these benefits can be fully leveraged. Unlike materials, which are often tied to specific technologies, equipment can adapt to various technological pathways, making its impact more readily apparent. With both domestic and international industrialization targets becoming increasingly defined, it is anticipated that semi-solid-state battery equipment will enter mass production by 2026, while all-solid-state battery equipment is projected to follow suit between 2027 and 2030.
