On September 15, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology unveiled the "Work Plan for Establishing Guangzhou as a National-Level Pilot City for Scalable Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Interaction Applications (2025-2027)." The document specifies that it will adhere strictly to the approval granted by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission concerning the pricing for electricity discharged from new energy vehicles to the grid. It also encourages the regular participation of Guangzhou’s V2G pilot projects in electricity peak-shaving and valley-filling activities to secure consistent financial returns. Furthermore, grid companies are mandated to accelerate enhancements to the power supply service support system for V2G installations, encompassing power connection requests, metering and billing processes, and electricity usage and fee inquiries. This will lay a solid foundation for the execution of the V2G feed-in tariff policy.
