The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is in the process of formulating automotive industry standards and is considering a ban on fully hidden door handles. According to a MirrorPro report, insiders from an automotive R&D department have disclosed that regulators are weighing a prohibition on the use of such door handles across the entire industry. It is understood that relevant meetings have already deliberated on this matter and intend to subsequently codify this ban in regulations, while permitting the use of semi-hidden and traditional door handles. These handles will be mandated to incorporate mechanical redundancy features to ensure that doors can be effortlessly opened in emergency situations. This proposed measure aims to enhance automotive safety and mitigate risks associated with evacuation and rescue efforts.
