BYD has refrained from commenting on these speculations. According to available data, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles have reached 2.8639 million units in the first eight months of this year, reflecting a 23% year-on-year growth. Evaluating this against the initial target, the completion rate stands at approximately 52%, whereas it climbs to roughly 62% when compared to the rumored adjusted target.
