On July 30, the Thai government announced a nationwide ban on drone flights, encompassing both civilian and commercial operations, effective immediately and lasting until August 15. The primary objective of this measure is to mitigate security risks and facilitate seamless coordination with ongoing military and police activities. Those who disregard this ban will be subject to prosecution under the Aviation Act, potentially facing a jail term of up to one year, a fine of 40,000 Thai baht, or both. Additionally, the military reserves the right to shoot down any drone deemed a threat to national security without delay.
