Samsung is currently tackling the power consumption challenges associated with its Exynos modem chips. As the development of the Galaxy S27 series moves forward, the upcoming next-generation Exynos modem chip, the M2700, has made remarkable strides in boosting power efficiency. It is anticipated that future Galaxy flagship models equipped with Exynos processors will be on par with, or at least come close to, the battery life of their Qualcomm Snapdragon counterparts. The M2700 is manufactured using a 4nm process. By incorporating technologies such as voltage optimization, it not only achieves higher power efficiency but also enables faster data transmission speeds. Moreover, the chip's footprint has been reduced by 4%. It is compatible with 3GPP Release 18 and offers enhanced satellite communication capabilities.
