At 8 p.m. on October 16, Apple unveiled its inaugural foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, opening pre-orders simultaneously across multiple platforms. These included the official Apple website, the Apple Store App, Tmall’s official Apple flagship store, and JD.com’s self-operated Apple flagship store. The moment pre-orders commenced, a surge of users overwhelmed the sites, rendering the pre-sale interfaces on both the official Apple website and JD.com temporarily inaccessible for regular transactions. Shortly after, numerous platforms reported that the entire stock of all models had swiftly sold out. Notably, JD.com alone received over 3 million pre-orders. The iPhone Duo is offered in four storage variants: 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB, and comes in two color options: Starlight White and Night Sky. Priced starting at 15,999 yuan, the device is set for its official release on October 23.
