Certain software features from Apple will not be released in tandem with iOS 27 and its accompanying new hardware. Instead, some functionalities are set to be postponed until future updates or until the end of 2026.

As for hardware releases, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 are now available for pre-order starting at 9 AM on September 11, with official shipping commencing on September 18. Similarly, the AirPods 5 are open for pre-order, with their shipping date also scheduled for September 18. The iPhone 18 Pro series will be up for pre-order at 8 PM on September 12, with shipping set to begin on September 18. Meanwhile, the pre-order period for the iPhone Duo starts at 8 PM on October 16, with shipping scheduled for October 23. This device will come pre-installed with iOS 27.1 and will support the Apple Pencil (excluding the Pro version) through OTA updates later this year.

In terms of system updates, iOS 27 and other systems will roll out updates in the early hours of September 15, with compatible devices being eligible for direct upgrades. Apple Intelligence will be introduced with this month's system update, supporting 16 languages, including simplified and traditional Chinese. However, initial support will not extend to mainland China. Notably, not all related features will be accessible at launch. Siri AI will initially introduce English support, with French, Japanese, and other language support slated to arrive in October. The official version may be released in stages.

The Live Rewind and Siri Recap features for the new Apple Watch models will not be available until the end of 2026. These features will require pairing with an iPhone 16 or later (excluding the 16e). The Messages Suggestions feature and the password app's auto-repair functionality for weak passwords will be introduced in subsequent updates. The iPhone Handoff feature will initially be accessible to T-Mobile (US) and Deutsche Telekom (Germany) users, with Verizon and EE users expected to gain support by the end of 2026. Additionally, the game Monster Hunter: Wanderer is set to be released later in 2026. The Health app will undergo a redesign by the end of 2026, introducing a health age feature and personalized health recommendations.
