Valve has released the 2.17.8 public beta version of the Steam Link streaming app for the Meta Quest platform. The new version introduces USB wired streaming functionality, allowing users to connect their computer and Quest device via a USB-C cable, effectively addressing latency and instability issues associated with wireless streaming. Additionally, the update fixes bugs such as flickering loading animations at low frame rates and incorrect frame rate displays in SteamVR settings, while further optimizing streaming latency. Users can experience the new features by joining the Steam Link public beta channel and switching SteamVR to the beta version.
