At the International Consumer Electronics Show held in Berlin, Xiaomi showcased a comprehensive lineup of smart home products, including the yet-to-be-released mid-fold 18 Fold device, its self-developed Xuanjie O3 chip, and the humanoid robot CyberOne. This move signifies the official large-scale entry of the Mijia brand into the European market. Concurrently, Xiaomi announced that it will introduce its automotive business to Europe in 2027.
Building on its established brand recognition in Europe, Xiaomi is venturing into the European market with a vast array of over 130 categories of home appliances. The company aims to carve out a competitive edge by leveraging its reputation for cost-effectiveness, a fully interconnected home ecosystem, self-developed chips, and energy-efficient technologies. However, Xiaomi is not without its challenges; it must establish a robust service network and undertake localization adaptations to succeed in Europe's mature home appliance market.
Currently, Xiaomi has secured agreements with eight prominent distributors in Germany and has commenced localization adaptations for its vehicles. The company has chosen Europe as the inaugural destination for its automotive expansion overseas. Xiaomi's 'dual-track overseas expansion' strategy, encompassing both home appliances and cars, has garnered significant industry attention and is poised to reshape the competitive landscape of Europe's consumer electronics market.
