Gurman noted that Ternus's biggest challenge is sustaining Apple's long-term success in the AI era. In September, Apple will fully deploy its new Siri AI to compete with ChatGPT. Given the high costs of running such AI systems, Apple may consider charging fees or monetizing through integrated third-party apps. However, to convince developers and users to pay, Siri must overcome negative feedback about its instability and limited practicality. Currently, early reviews of Siri AI have been generally positive.
