Based on reports from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman as well as several tech media sources, Apple is set to hold its autumn product launch event on September 9, 2026. At this event, two new smartwatches will be introduced: the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4. The Apple Watch Series 12 will maintain the design aesthetic of the Series 11, boasting a thinner and lighter profile. There's also a possibility that it will reintroduce a version with a ceramic case. This model will be powered by the new S12 SiP chip, support non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, and promise extended battery life thanks to optimized power consumption by both the chip and the screen.
The Apple Watch Ultra 4, on the other hand, is slated for its most substantial design transformation since the series' initial release in 2022. It will embrace a fresh design philosophy, double the number of sensors, introduce a hypertension alert function, and potentially incorporate Touch ID fingerprint recognition technology. Additionally, it will continue to push the boundaries of outdoor battery life and screen specifications. Given the escalating costs of materials, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 might experience its first price hike.
