Apple is currently in the process of developing two distinct models of AirPods that come equipped with built-in cameras. These models are internally referred to by their codenames, B790 and B798. Specifically, the B790 model represents an upgraded iteration of the AirPod Pro 3. Initially, it was slated for release in 2026. However, owing to challenges related to the supply chain and software complexities encountered during the phase of mass production, its launch has been rescheduled to 2027. On the other hand, the B798 model, which will be known as AirPods Pro 4, is set to incorporate additional sensors and further enhance its AI functionalities.
