Market research firm IDC recently predicted that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, set to be released by Apple this year, will see a significant price hike, potentially reaching up to $200. Previously, IDC had forecasted a $100 increase, but due to Apple's decision this week to raise prices on some Mac and iPad models, IDC has adjusted its price increase expectations for the iPhone 18 series. If the price hike takes effect, the starting price for the iPhone 18 Pro will reach $1,299, while the Pro Max will be priced at $1,399. The primary reason for the price increase is the global shortage of memory supplies, which has driven up memory and storage costs.
