Multiple sources within the supply chain have revealed that Apple is poised to introduce a touchscreen OLED MacBook Ultra by the end of 2026. This new device is aimed at the ultra-high-end creative market and will be powered by chips from the M6 series, rather than the currently available M5 Pro/Max chips. In a related development, Apple’s more affordable iPhone model, which is expected to make its debut in the first half of 2027, will feature the A20 chip and will see its RAM upgraded to 9GB. However, this model will not offer full support for next-generation on-device AI functionalities, providing only basic capabilities for large on-device models. In contrast, the iPhone 18 series, set to be released in the fall of 2026, will come equipped with a standard 12GB of RAM to adequately meet the demands of on-device AI processing.
