As a must-have accessory for daily commutes and travels, the safety of power banks has garnered considerable attention. In accordance with national regulations, beginning August 1, 2024, the production and sale of power banks without CCC (China Compulsory Certification) will be prohibited. The CCC certification process entails rigorous testing of key safety parameters of power banks, adhering to established standards. Starting from March 2026, newly certified power banks will be mandated to feature a CCC traceability QR code, facilitating the tracking of product information. By March 2027, all power banks in circulation must be equipped with such codes. Presently, the market is a mix of products adhering to both the old and new standards. When making a purchase, consumers are advised to verify the presence of the CCC certification mark and the traceability QR code to ensure they are acquiring safe and compliant products.
