On June 16, the latest data released by IDC revealed that the global smart glasses market witnessed a remarkable surge in the first quarter of 2026, with shipments soaring to 3.566 million units, representing a substantial year-on-year increase of 130.1%. Breaking it down, the audio and audio recording glasses segment emerged as a key driver, with shipments reaching 2.248 million units, up a striking 167.4% from the previous year. Meanwhile, the AR/VR glasses market also demonstrated robust growth, with shipments climbing to 1.318 million units, marking an 85.9% year-on-year rise.
