According to reports, Apple plans to launch a newly designed M6 series MacBook Pro from late 2026 to early 2027, introducing an OLED touchscreen and 5G cellular network connectivity to the Mac product line for the first time. The model will feature a slimmer body design, a redesigned hinge structure to support touch operations, and an M6 chip based on TSMC's 2nm process, significantly enhancing performance and energy efficiency. The OLED screen will offer higher contrast, more vivid color performance, and support touch functionality, while abandoning the long-used notch design in favor of a Dynamic Island punch-hole camera similar to the iPhone. Additionally, the model may integrate Apple's self-developed 5G baseband, supporting millimeter wave for full-time online mobile productivity. These upgrades could potentially put pressure on the market performance of the iPad.
