At present, eSIM-enabled phones are still undergoing commercial trials. According to the regulations, each device is permitted to activate a maximum of two numbers from domestic operators, with a monthly cap of two new network activations. As the popularity of eSIM phones grows, a significant problem has emerged: the lack of clarity regarding device binding information during second-hand sales and returns. This often hinders users from setting up new services and drives up after-sales expenses for manufacturers. To tackle this issue, China Mobile and China Unicom have launched eSIM binding status query features. These allow users to swiftly verify device binding details, effectively addressing the challenges of information opacity and after-sales service in second-hand transactions.
