After a strategic assessment, Amazon has suspended its plan to launch commercial drone delivery services in Italy. A spokesperson for the company stated that despite positive progress in communications with Italian aviation regulatory authorities, the country's commercial regulatory framework cannot support the long-term goals of its plan. Previously, in June, Amazon had engaged in positive discussions with Italy's Civil Aviation Authority regarding a drone delivery project in the San Salvo area. Additionally, Amazon's drone delivery projects in the United States and the United Kingdom are still actively progressing, with successful test flights and commercial deliveries receiving positive feedback from customers.
