On December 27, the meeting of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress voted to pass the newly revised Civil Aviation Law, which consists of 16 chapters and 262 articles and will come into effect on July 1, 2026. The new law strengthens the management of civil unmanned aerial vehicles, enhances civil aviation safety guarantees, and improves provisions on legal responsibilities, among other aspects.
