On December 25, 2025, Xiaomi held the strategic cooperation upgrade event with Leica Imaging and the launch conference for the new product Xiaomi 17 Ultra in Beijing. At the event, Lu Weibing, Partner and President of Xiaomi Group, unveiled the first product resulting from the upgraded cooperation between the two parties—the Xiaomi 17 Ultra—and simultaneously introduced the commemorative edition marking the 15th anniversary of Xiaomi and the 100th anniversary of Leica, the 'Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition'.
