On the 22nd of the month, according to local time, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) placed foreign-made drones and their essential components on the "Restricted List." This move prohibits the approval of new drone models for import or sale within the United States. The ban came into force immediately, encompassing all drones not manufactured in the U.S., notably including those produced by China's DJI. Moreover, restrictions also apply to vital components like batteries, motors, and flight control systems. Consequently, products incorporating these components are unable to secure certification, even if the complete drone model is not included on the list.
