On December 23, Insta360’s Legal Department released an official statement via Weibo, disclosing that within just two weeks of launching its panoramic drone, the INSTA360 A1, the product was inundated with over 2,500 instances of false information and malicious posts. These attacks took the form of fabricated negative consumer feedback, as well as slanderous remarks targeting the product’s quality and the brand’s reputation. Insta360 has since reported the matter to the public security authorities, which have formally registered the case. Additionally, the company has initiated a reward program across the internet, offering up to RMB 100,000 for credible tips leading to the identification of those responsible.
