Recently, a flurry of reports has surfaced on social media platforms, with numerous netizens claiming that some users experienced abnormal WeChat logouts or were even unable to log in while using the Doubao Mobile Assistant on the Nubia M153 to manage their WeChat accounts. Several users of the Doubao Mobile Assistant confirmed this issue to our reporters. Currently, it has been observed that WeChat operates normally on the engineering machine of the preview version of the Doubao Assistant; however, its mobile phone operation functionality no longer supports WeChat-related tasks. In response to these reports, a representative from WeChat stated, "No specific actions were taken from our end; it's possible that the existing security risk control mechanism was triggered." On the other hand, Doubao clarified that the Doubao Mobile Assistant acquires permissions through partnerships with terminal mobile phone manufacturers. These permissions are transparently disclosed in the privacy white paper and permission list. Such permissions enable the assistant to simulate click events for task completion, and user authorization is mandatory before any task execution. The execution process is transparently displayed, allowing users to intervene at any point. The mobile phone operation capability is activated and monitored by users, ensuring it does not run automatically.
