On December 1, the Doubao team at ByteDance unveiled a technical preview version of the Doubao Mobile Assistant. In partnership with ZTE, they also launched the inaugural engineering prototype, the nubia M153, which is priced at 3,499 yuan. This innovative assistant offers multiple wake-up options, including voice, side-button, or headset activation, enabling users to pose queries about screen content from any interface seamlessly. Moreover, it seamlessly incorporates features like voice and video calls. The standout feature of this assistant is its AI-driven mobile phone operation capability, which empowers it to seamlessly switch between various apps in response to user commands. This allows it to efficiently accomplish tasks such as searching for and booking tickets, comparing product prices, and placing orders. Nevertheless, beginning on the evening of December 2, certain users encountered unexpected logouts when attempting to log in to WeChat via their mobile phones. In response, the Doubao Mobile Assistant team clarified that they had deactivated the function to operate WeChat and assured users that the affected accounts would be progressively unblocked.
