On December 3rd, a number of users encountered frequent WeChat login irregularities and unexpected logouts while utilizing the nubia M153 engineering phone—a product developed through a partnership between Doubao and ZTE. More specifically, WeChat flagged the login environment as abnormal and prompted users to switch devices. Even after users changed accounts and logged in anew, they were still logged out automatically during the process of transferring chat history. Furthermore, operational tasks that relied on WeChat functions were unable to be carried out as usual, with task publishing consistently failing. Although some users noted a temporary return to normalcy upon re-logging into WeChat, the issue persisted and was not entirely resolved. To date, neither ByteDance nor Tencent WeChat has issued a statement regarding this matter. Considering that the phone has only been available on the market for three days, this problem has already garnered significant attention.
