Recently, Apple has officially added the first-generation iPhone SE to its roster of obsolete products. As per Apple's classification criteria, devices that have been out of production for a period ranging from 5 years up to (but not including) 7 years are designated as vintage products. On the other hand, those that have been discontinued for 7 years or longer fall under the category of obsolete products. The first-generation iPhone SE made its debut in March 2016 and was subsequently discontinued in September 2018. Given this timeline, the device has now crossed the 7-year threshold, thus earning its obsolete status.
