Huawei’s official website has unveiled the eSIM functionality for mobile phones, a feature currently exclusive to the Mate 80 RS Porsche Design model. This innovative function empowers users to add two supplementary mobile phone numbers, free from the constraints of physical SIM card slots. Serving as an advanced iteration of the traditional physical SIM card, the eSIM facilitates number activation without the necessity for a physical card, boasting service functionalities that are on par with those of a physical SIM card.

At present, only China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom offer eSIM services. Users wishing to avail themselves of this service are required to present their eSIM-compatible mobile phones and identification documents at designated business offices for on-site processing.

The procedure to activate eSIM on a Huawei mobile phone is straightforward: Navigate to the system settings, proceed to Mobile Network, select SIM Card Management, and scan the code to incorporate the eSIM. Specifically, scan the QR code provided by the operator on-site, click to add this card, and once the download is finalized, return to the SIM Card Management interface, where the name of the corresponding operator will be displayed.
