During a Douyin (the Chinese equivalent of TikTok) livestream event held in China, Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, officially declared that the pre-order phase for the mainland China variant of the iPhone Air would commence at 9 a.m. on October 17. The device will carry a starting price tag of 7,999 yuan, with its official sales launch set for October 22. The iPhone Air will be offered in three storage capacities: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with corresponding prices of 7,999 yuan, 9,999 yuan, and 11,999 yuan, respectively.
