In 2025, the three major operators received approval to conduct commercial trials for eSIM mobile phone operation services. Among them, China Unicom was the first to receive approval in early September, while China Telecom and China Mobile received approval in October. On October 13th, China Unicom officially launched the national reservation channel for eSIM services.
