On October 1, Nikkei released a report stating that in the second quarter of 2025, Huawei's smartwatch shipments soared to 7.2 million units. This represents a remarkable 53% year-on-year increase and allows Huawei to capture a 21% share of the global market. For the first time, Huawei has outstripped Apple, claiming the top position in the global smartwatch market. In contrast, Apple's shipments declined to 5.8 million units, marking a 3% year-on-year decrease and resulting in a 17% market share. Huawei's success can be attributed to its cost-effectiveness, technological innovations, and robust support from its domestic market. On average, Huawei's watches are priced at around $227, significantly lower than Apple's $413. Moreover, Huawei's offerings boast a comprehensive set of features along with impressive battery longevity.
