Toyota Motor announced on Tuesday that it is developing a small drone system designed to assist vehicles in driving on unpaved roads and trails, enhancing their situational awareness in complex terrains. According to documents submitted by Toyota to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the system can provide real-time footage of the surroundings and beneath the vehicle, helping drivers avoid obstacles.
