Spain's National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC), the regulatory body, has launched an antitrust investigation into Apple's App Store. The probe aims to scrutinize whether Apple imposes unfair commercial conditions on mobile app developers, particularly whether its pricing rules amount to an abuse of market dominance. Apple has vehemently denied these allegations. The investigation, which could span up to two years, could result in fines of up to 10% of Apple's global annual turnover if violations are confirmed.
