The Fedora project is actively seeking feedback from users and developers regarding potential updates to its release criteria. Among the proposed changes is the discontinuation of support for booting from optical discs (DVD images), given that optical booting has become less significant and the associated testing is time-consuming. Furthermore, the project is evaluating whether to continue treating dual-booting issues with Intel-based Macs as a release blocker, considering that Apple has ceased production of such Macs and Fedora does not support newer processors.
