On July 2, 2025, Pantech Corporation of South Korea submitted an application to the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930. The application accuses 17 enterprises from the United States, China, Finland, and other nations of importing, exporting, or selling within the United States, specific mobile cellular communication devices that allegedly infringe upon Pantech's patents. Pantech has requested the initiation of a 337 investigation, along with the issuance of limited exclusion orders and cease and desist orders.
