Recently, Wuhan Post Office Customs intercepted a total of 1,789 suspected counterfeit "LABUBU" blind box dolls during routine inspections of export mail. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that these dolls and their packaging boxes bore unauthorized use of Pop Mart's trademarks, constituting a clear infringement of its intellectual property rights. Dubbed "Lafufu" by internet users, these dolls are unauthorized replicas of Pop Mart's popular IP character, "LABUBU". In response to such infringements, Pop Mart has proactively applied for the registration of the "LAFUFU" trademark as a defensive measure to safeguard its brand. The customs authorities have since legally detained the batch of infringing goods.
